The 2011 U.S. Pan American Games Triathlon Team

Attorney Mark Fretta serves as a legal advisor, a law clerk, a management consultant, a sports agent, and a tutor. He is also a skilled athlete who enjoys playing basketball, lifting weights, running on the treadmill, and generally maintaining a high level of fitness. In 2011, Mark Fretta was a member of the American men’s triathlon team at the Pan American Games.

Mark Fretta represented the United States along with two other triathletes, Matt Chrabot from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Hunter Kemper from Orlando, Florida. The women’s team consisted of Sarah Haskins, Gwen Jorgensen, and Sara McLarty.

The Olympic-distance triathlon events at the 2011 Pan American Games took place on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The U.S. team went into the event with high expectations. Since the triathlon made its Pan American Games debut in 1995, America had won a combined total of eight medals including four first-place finishes. By the end of the Oct. 23 competition, the 2011 U.S. team had added two additional medals to its all-time tally.
