United States Brings Home Silver for 2015 Pan Am Games Men’s Triathlon

A graduate of the Willamette University College of Law, Mark Fretta works as associate vice president of operations at A.R.T. (Active Release Techniques) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A former number-one ranked triathlete, Mark Fretta was a member of the 2011 USA men’s Pan American Games triathlon team.

Established in 1982, USA Triathlon sanctions more than 4,300 races and assists almost 500,000 members each year. The largest multisport organization in the world, it supports athletes at international events, including the Pan American Games.

In July 2015, USA Triathlon sent six athletes to the Pan American Games in Toronto. These athletes participated in a 40-kilometer bike ride, a 10-kilometer run, and an Olympic-distance 1,500-meter swim. At the 2015 Pan Am Games, the United States’ men’s team finished in second place, bringing home a silver medal. Since the United States debuted at the games in 1995, it has earned 11 medals, including 5 gold.
